Urban Inequalities Workshop, Graduate Coordinator (2020-2024)
The Urban Inequalities Workshop is an interdisciplinary academic workshop sponsored by the Initiative on Cities that invites scholars and practitioners of urban issues from across the U.S. and the world to discuss current works-in-progress. The workshop is open to researchers, professors and instructors, community organizers, city government officials, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Since 2017, the workshop has provided feedback on manuscripts that have gone on to be published in venues such as the American Journal of Sociology (Jane Addams Article Award honorable mention), Redwood Press (an imprint of Stanford University Press), University of Chicago Press, City & Community, Urban Studies, and Urban Geography, as examples.
Serving as the Graduate Coordinator from 2020-2024, it was my responsibility to handle coordinating event planning and marketing, hosting and introducing our speakers, and facilitating networking opportunities for the variety of workshop attendees.Â
